Shetland Heritage Map

Here you can contribute to a map with your own photos, videos, links and descriptions. Below the map you will find a step by step guide of how to upload anything to it. If you have any problems please get in touch namhp@uhi.ac.uk

1. On the heritage map above, click the view larger map icon in the top right corner of the map.

2. In the navigation panel on the left of the screen, click the edit button.

3. Underneath the search bar you will find a number of tools. The hand tool can be used to pan around the map.

4. The marker tool creates a new point on the map. Move it to the position you want and give it a title.

5. If you click on the camera icon a new dialogue box will open allowing you to upload pictures and videos from your computer. you can also add a description of what you are marking on the map. This point will appear in the left hand navigation panel.

6. You can also create a new layer if you want import data from a gps tracker while you were out surveying.

7. If you click edit in your new layer a new dialogue box will open and allow you to import data from gps trackers.
